Le Nom de Plume
The artist formerly known as Phil
now has a nom de plume.
And he hopes to do even better still
now that he’s known as Lew.
It’s a difficult thing for his friends to grasp
Since he’s
chosen to change Phil to Lew.
For now when they meet him they find they must ask.
Am I speaking to you Phil, or Lew?
Phil was a really wonderful guy
And Lew seems to be one too.
And because of the change, we are wondering why
Not a soul seems to ask him Lew who?
And his hits will just keep on coming
As he turns them out by the score.
His tunes will keep all of us all humming
And his fans will keep asking for more.
